It’s official :: We now spend more time on social media than email

Email most common daily activity, but social racks up more hours
Social Media is now part of our everyday life. We tweet, we connect, we fan … it is a time-intensive activity. One we enjoy!

According to the TNS “Digital Life” worldwide survey surfers spent, on average, 4.6 hours a week on social media sites. This is compared to an average of 4.4 hours on email.

The survey confirmed that email is the most common activity with 75% of users sending and reading emails but the biggest amount of time is spent on social media sites with an average total of 4.6 hours.
