Creativity’s real role in hospitals

Low light. Low levels of noise. Alcohol. These are all things that, according to recent research from the University of Illinois, enhance our creativity.

These findings are very interesting but application of this creativity in the “real world” is debatable. By focusing on tiny details, we sometimes lose sight of why creativity is so important in the first place … because it improves people’s lives.

That’s the entire point, and it’s something hospitals should keep in mind.

GUI upgrades and new features are cool, but if your creative team isn’t getting your communications staff excited, and making patient’s lives better, they’re doing something wrong!
