Are hospital taglines dead?

Last week I read an article in Adweek that touted the “death of the tagline“. It upset me. Which lead me to ask the question, “are hospital taglines dead? Its sad to say that the many legacy brands whose taglines propelled them to greatness, no longer use them. Apple has not used “Think different” for years. Most of today’s most admired brands, such as Starbucks and Whole Foods —don’t have them, they choose to invest in messaging and essence statements, such as Starbucks “rewarding everyday moments”. But I still believe in the power of hospital taglines and their role in connecting to patients in today’s competitive healthcare landscape.

Hospital taglines aren’t dead!

Here are examples of famous taglines are an evocative, and still inspire calls to action:
