Swamped. Slammed. Buried. Drowning.
These are descriptions we use to describe our workloads. We are all busy, there is no denying it. But some people — you know who you are — get some sort of odd pleasure out of complaining about how “extremely” busy they are. They consider it a badge of honor.
This needs to stop.
For one, always complaining about your workload is egocentric and disrespectful — “My time is more important than yours.” Plus, if someone’s working 15-hour days, there’s a good chance they aren’t working in the most efficient manner.
So stop complaining, and work smarter.
